Chronic cough is one of the most common symptoms in clinical practice that associated numerous negative consequences. The pathophysiology chronic complex, and its causes include respiratory diseases, neurological disorders, exposure to tobacco smoke, medications. Understanding physiology mechanisms hypersensitivity can improve outcome treatment. At turn 2019 2020, European Respiratory Society (ERS) issued guidelines concerning diagnostic evaluation therapeutic management (pharmacological non-pharmacological treatment) persists despite causal treatment as well unknown etiology. aim treatment, preceded by a thorough evaluation, control reflex while maintaing protective function cough. following aspects should be taken into account management: antiasthmatic medications, medications reducing gastric acidity prokinetic neuromodulatory Non-pharmacological methods physiotherapy speech therapy.
